Dancing for Birth classes Taught by Sarah Biggs

If you can walk then you can dance! The moves are inspired by African, Caribbean, Latin, and Belly dance. You’ll become stronger, more agile, and more at ease with your body. Pregnant moms and postpartum moms with babies are welcome. These classes are energizing and fun, and no experience is needed. Bring a water bottle, yoga style clothes, and a birth ball if you have one.
When: Meets Sundays, 2:00-3:30 starting Feb. 5
Location: Humboldt Capoeira Academy (next to Ritas off the Arcata plaza)
Cost: $10/class or $40/5 classes, free trial class

A four week workshop designed to explore how meditative & contemplative Spiritual Practices can help support the Work of Mothers & Mothers-to-be. We hope to develop a sense of community to Nurture, Honor and Support mothers that can sustain itself beyond the scope of this workshop. On Site Childcare provided just across the hall! Planning for Pregnancy

This relaxed and friendly class will focus on how to best prepare for conceiving and growing a baby. We will discuss fertility cycles and creating a positive environment for conception, nourishing nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and options for choosing a care provider. We will also have time to answer any additional questions you may have. We will meet on Tuesday, September 28, at Moonrise Herbs. The cost is $10 per person or couple. Snacks and handouts provided.
